User Guide

The Essentia framework allows users to own their own personal data and access both centralized and decentralized services while remaining completely in control.

Essentia is proud to present our working demo product, now openly accessible via our official website.

We hope to enlighten our users on the main features and functionalities currently available in the demo product.

Getting started

First things first! You need to create your Essence, your personal account on the Essentia framework. Think of your Essence as a manifestation of your digital life, where you can store your personal data and interact with decentralized applications running on multiple different blockchains, all from the convenience of one single platform — Essentia.

To create your Essence, access the demo via official website. The first screen should look as follows:

Click on “Get Started” and set a password for your account. Make sure to choose a very strong password (i.e. mix capital and lowercase letters, add numbers and symbols).

Wonderful! Now that a password has been set for the account, you will be taken to the Essentia launchpad.

Now, it is absolutely crucial that you start to backup your recovery methods for your account. It is very important to make sure that your Seed (private key), Mnemonic Phrase or Keystore file is stored securely. With one of these, you can gain access to your Essence!

Congratulations! You’ve successfully created your Essence and are well on your way towards using the Web 3.0 to its fullest potential.

The Launchpad is your central hub where you can choose which decentralized applications (dApps) or tools should be actively running within your Essence.

In order to add or remove a dApp or Tool, all you need to do is hover over the icon and an “Add” option will appear. Your actively running dApps are represented as icons on the sidebar. You can access the dApps either by hovering over the logo and clicking on “Open” or by simply clicking on the logo on the sidebar. (You can always return to the launchpad by clicking on the Essentia logo at the top of the sidebar)

Currently, the demo has integrated nine dApps and Tools. Let’s take a look together at each one of these!

At long last! A wallet that can securely integrate many different projects all from the convenience of one Seed. Essentia is continuously updating its supported tokens and so far, your Essentia wallet can support 11 different tokens!

By clicking on each of the tokens you can see your wallet address and contents. Our Essentia token is coming soon! Make sure that you’re signed up on the whitelist (via

Next to your address you can also click on the little blue button to have your QR code appear. You can conveniently facilitate transactions via your QR code!

From within the wallet, you can have a broad overview of the trends of each of your digital assets.

Last but not least, the Essentia wallet doesn’t only serve as a safe storage for your tokens, but also lets you monitor and conduct transactions. All these different tokens, integrated for your convenience, on the Essentia platform.

Essentia allows you to store your files on blockchain-powered decentralized storage services like Storj, Swarm, and the peer-to-peer system, IPFS. Leveraging the integration of these three systems, Essentia is able to offer our users resilient storage. In case of a failure in one of the storage systems, files being uploaded are automatically shifted to another storage method.

We are currently working on integrating even more storage oriented projects into our framework to help provide our users with more functionality and options. Keep your data safe and decentralized with Essentia!

With Essentia, log in to all your decentralized applications securely and conveniently. eLogin uses simple message verification to log in to services and liberates you from having to create and store passwords.

To send in a login request, all you need to do is click on the logo of the project and then click on “Send Login Request”. Essentia currently supports eLogin functions through Aragon, IOTA, OmiseGo, Status, NEO and Ethereum.

Essentia is proud to integrate the flagship decentralized exchange, ForkDelta, on its platform. Without any hassle, trade your tokens on the ForkDelta exchange and enjoy the simplified interface, courtesy of Essentia!

Essentia is also proud to have integrated, an exchange that allows for the instantaneous conversion of a broad array of cryptocurrencies without being forced to have an account. Trade your coins privately and securely with Essentia.

The integrated exchange is very simple to use, requiring only an address and with a few clicks, you will have automatically converted your coins.

Aragon has been integrated into the Essentia framework and now offers new potential to our users. You will be able to easily create your own decentralized organization with all its core features (cap table management, voting, token transfers etc…). Essentia helps you manage your organizations efficiently and effectively!

The Essentia-integrated OmiseGo allows you to instantaneously carry out peer-to-peer transactions. Transact any digital asset and interact with various protocols without limitations, all within Essentia.

Essentia has taken the initiative to integrate promising upcoming projects even before their public release! Referred to as the WeChat of the blockchain, Status allows you to message and socialize with member of the Ethereum at all times. Enjoy encrypted and secure interactions within your Essence!

Rome was not built in a day but have a working product is a good starting point.
